HOW TO PREPARE MY OOPYA SOLUTION?

To prepare a solution with Oopya it is very simple:

1 – Open the lid of the bottle.

2 – Fill the bottle with tap water (ideally filtered water).

3 – Add one or two Oopya stick depending on the level of concentration you want to achieve.

4 – Close the bottle and shake soflty until all the content is dissolved.

5 – Connect the bottle with the USB cable if the generator has no battery or if its battery is not charged.

6 – Press the button for 3 seconds to start the hydrolysis process.

7 – The solution is ready at the end of the process.

WHAT ARE THE PRODUCTS IT REPLACES?

Oopya can replace up to 80% of household cleaning products: slab washers, glass cleaner, toilet bowl disinfectant, bath cleaner, floor products, anti-grease products for worktops, etc.

It does not replace dishwashing, laundry or limescale remover products.

ON WHAT KIND OF SURFACES CAN IT BE USED?

The Oopya solution can be used on any type of water-resistant surfaces: glass, metal, plastic, fabric, etc.

Avoid using on very fragile fabric that could change of color (leather, silk, etc.)

HOW LONG THE PRODUCTION CYCLE LAST?

Once the water and salt have been added, the reaction lasts between 3 and 10 minutes depending on the cycle choosen.

The solution produced keeps its properties between 5 and 7 days. After this time the process needs to be carried out again.

IT SMELLS LIKE CHLORINE, IS IT SAFE?

The liquid produced by Oopya smells of chlorine due to the presence of chlorine. The solution has a concentration of 0.2% to 0.6% sodium hypochlorite. The odor disappear after few seconds.

Its concentration allows you to benefit from a perfect balance between disinfection and safety.

IS IT BIODEGRADABLE?

Yes, it is fully biodegradable.

The liquid produced by Oopya is not stable in time. After a week it gradually turns back into salt water: harmless to the environment.

WHAT IS THE FORMULA OF THE LIQUID PRODUCED?

With the reaction of salt + electricity + water, sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) is produced. The disinfecting power of sodium hypochlorite has been known since the 18th century.

Since 1970 its use became widespread in the industry and in household products. Highly concentrated and stable over time, it can be up to 100 times more powerful than chlorine.

Oopya generators produce a liquid with a sodium hypochlorite concentration of 0.2% to 0.6%. After a couple of weeks, the concentration lower and the solution go back to be water and salt. This property garantee the product do be biodegradable and healthy.

HOW CAN A MIXTURE OF SALT AND WATER DISINFECT?

The Oopya generators transform water + 1 stick + electricity into a disinfectant through hydrolysis. This chemical reaction produces an hypoclorus acid, a very powerful disinfectant.

This is the same process used for the treatment and disinfection of salt water in swimming pools, for example.

IF IT'S SO EFFECTIVE, WHY ISN'T IT SOLD ANYWHERE?

Hypoclorous acis is used in industry and sold to cleaning professionals.

To store it for a long time it has to be stable. The production of the hypochlorite is inexpensive, but to maintain its stability and properties will be more difficult and very expensive.

That is why hypoclorous is generally used with a machine located in the place of its use thus avoiding a long and costly process.

Oopya follows the same logic.

THE SPRAY ON MY OOPYA 500 DOESN'T WORK

To reactivate the spray you need to connect Oopya 500 with your USB cable and perform a new production cycle. In 5 minutes the spray will be ready for use again
